When you look at churches today do you ever feel like we are missing it? It seems like church has become this buffet bar where people come to consume whichever buffet puts out the best and most fulfilling meal. We shop around with our family until we find the one that has the best music, the best preaching, the best kid’s programming, and then we settle in ready to be served. Do you believe that most of our churches resemble God’s greatest and only plan to bring salvation to the world? Do you wonder who we are supposed to be as the church? What our lives should look like? How we should be a part of the culture around us? How we should operate, lead, and advance the Kingdom of God?
Let’s face it, most churches in America today barely resemble the picture of the first church in the book of Acts. That church was ever growing, ever changing, adapting to culture, living genuine lives, holding Jesus as Lord, meeting people’s needs, studying and praying together, and seeing God do miraculous things in them and in the world around them. The image we see is one of a RADICAL Organism that is continually influencing the culture as they care about others and share the gospel despite persecution. This RADICAL Organism becomes a movement that can not be stopped or even slowed down as thousands are impacted and become a part.
Join us over the next few months as we study through the book of Acts to see how we can live and transform our church into this RADICAL Organism, to more closely resemble the church God had in mind at the very beginning.
